About
Valerio Oricchio, PE
Transportation engineer, licensed in Florida
I studied electrical and civil engineering at Georgia Tech, where my graduate research focused on microscopic traffic simulation. Since 2007 I have worked on high-speed, commuter and freight rail, metro, streetcar and BRT projects, and on the traffic studies that sit around them.
My career spans consulting (CDM Smith, T.Y. Lin International, WGI), design-build (Astaldi) and the public side, as City Transportation Engineer for West Palm Beach, Florida. That mix shapes how I work: I build models that answer the question an agency will actually ask, and I document them so a reviewer can follow every assumption.
Today I run my practice serving clients worldwide.
